Julie looks forward to meeting with you and your pets and hopes that she can make you and your pets feel well cared for.

Julie Smuckler-Pike, Owner and Pet Stylist of Salon Canine, has always been an animal lover and animal advocate. Even before she began her career as a Pet Stylist and business owner, while she worked in management in the corporate world, she spent her extra time volunteering at local animal shelters (walking and socializing dogs) in San Francisco and in Hawaii. In addition, Julie currently serves on the Board of Directors for the California Professional Pet Groomers Association, Inc, whose purpose is to enhance relations between pet groomers, consumers, promoting professionalism, safety and sanitation within the California grooming industry.

Julie has over 10 years of pet grooming experience, graduating from the Albuquerque Grooming Academy  and training under a Master Certified Groomer and then providing grooming services with care and kindness and with an eye for detail for her many furry clients. Also, Julie is currently certified in Pet CPR and First Aid through the Pet Tech organization.

Julie was born and raised in South Orange County, graduating from San Clemente High School and the University of California, Irvine. After college, she began a career in Human Resources that took her from Southern California to San Franscisco, to Hawaii and to New Mexico. It is in New Mexico where she finally decided to align her career with her love for animals. As a result, she began her career as a Pet Stylist. She permanently relocated to Southern California to continue her pet grooming career and looks forward to taking care of you and your pets.
